As excited as we are to greet the New Year, it brings with it a few changes that are bittersweet. MALF bids a fond farewell to four members of its board of directors.
Sue Grove (Austin) terms off our board after nearly eight years as an active leader. This includes time as both Vice President and Vice President of Programming. In the latter capacity, Sue contributed to the design and rollout of MALF’s annual “Saturday Splash” mini-conference – as well as the program’s quick pivot online as a result of pandemic gathering restrictions.
Melissa Brechon (Little Canada) and Marjorie McPeak (Tower) are retired library administrators who joined MALF’s board in November 2019 and July 2020 respectively. Among other contributions, both have been pivotal to the work of the association’s membership committee.
Last but not least, we bid a fond farewell to Kathy Sacchetti (Cook) [pictured], who joined the ranks in January 2022 and has contributed in various ways to MALF’s grants and awards portfolio, online programming, and e-communications – including valued improvements to MALF’s online calendar!
We will miss you all!
