United for Libraries Virtual is slated for July 30 - August 1. Full conference registration is just $149. If you cannot attend all three days, single day pass tickets cost $65/per. (Further discounts are available for ALA members.) Panel topics will run a wide gamut!
Registration is now open for the 2024 conference of the Minnesota Library Association. Join library staff, trustees and supporters at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester on October 24-25 for dozens of panels, keynote talks and networking opportunities. Special guests will include “celebrity librarian” and TikTok phenom Mychal Threets, well-known in the library world and beyond for his powerful message of library joy.
Twin Cities Teen Lit Con, the state’s premier author expo devoted wholly to YA literature, is right around the corner! Teenagers and the young at heart are all invited to Two Rivers High School in Mendota Heights for the big event on Saturday, April 29 (10 a.m. – 3p.m.). Organizers are currently looking for teachers, Friends of the Library, and other adult volunteers to help make the event run smoothly.

What, you might be asking, is a “Saturday Splash”? In short, it is MALF’s annual mini-conference – a morning of content curated by, for and about Friends of the Library. Itinerary will include a splash of this, and a splash of that (thus the name); but as connective tissue, every program module will celebrate Friends work or offer learning opportunities to further that work.
