Saint Paul native F. Scott Fitzgerald’s magnum opus The Great Gatsby is often lauded as “The Great American Novel.” Gatsby marks its centennial publication anniversary in 2025, and The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library are not letting it go unheralded.
The Friends are coordinating Fitzgerald- and Gatsby-centered special programming all year. Early highlights include a January 18 launch party for the new anthology collection F. Scott Fitzgerald: A Composite Biography, marathon public reading sessions of The Great Gatsby hosted at the Minnesota History Center, and a host of educational talks.
Many of these “Gatsby at 100” programs have a virtual livestream option, meaning you do not have to be in the Twin Cities to partake! Click here to see the full line-up of events and opportunities.
