L
ast week brought exciting news to no fewer than fifty Friends of the Library groups across the country. Penguin Random House announced these as awardees in the second cycle of its annual Grants to U.S. Rural and Small Libraries program.
Winners include several of “our own” here in Minnesota. Congratulations to Friends of the Cook Public Library, who will receive a $1,000 cash grant, and to the Friends of the Two Harbors Public Library and Grand Rapids Area Library Friends, both of which will be receiving a $500 in-kind gift in the form of new, in-demand PRH book titles for their libraries’ collections.
Looking for support of this kind but unsure where else to turn? Be sure to look into MALF’s own Minnesota Good Neighbor Grant program. MALF is accepting applications from now until Sunday, May 31.
